Had it not seemed so flagrant and intentional, I wouldn't have suggested that the player get ejected. But, I believe it was. When you have a defender standing 2-3 feet in front of you, you extend your arms to pump-fake the ball in the defenders face, I personally don't see how anyone could say "oh it was just an accident... I didn't mean to do it."
I don't think there's any dispute over the fact that the rules prohibit it, but I guess the refs are not supposed to call it if its Coeburn playing.

Far be it from me or anyone to question the itegrity of a player who pump fakes a ball in a defender's face! There were many people who witnessed it, and you might be surprised to realize that some people would agree with you and some would agree with me. Imagine that... differences of opinion! What is the world coming to?
You won't see me standing up and yelling at referees over calls the make. I've never done it before, and I'm not going to start now. Sometimes they make good calls and sometimes they make bad ones. But, I have never once seen a referee change a call because of fans yelling and screaming at them.
Call it what you want. Pump-faking a ball in a defenders face is a cheap move. Coeburn has a better team than that, and they sure as hell don't need to resort to stuff like that to win.

So now you're doing two things--questioning the integrity of a kid you don't even know on a personal basis as to whether or not he'd lie about doing something that a couple hundred people witnessed, and also saying he hit him in the face, when he ball faked towards his head and caught the kid on the top of the noggin...which I'm sure was painful and dreadful. It's a ball! You're really making this out to be a capital offense when it happens all the time in the game of basketball. I've seen guys get steals because their man ball faked, hit their head, and there was no technical called, but the ball popped up and it was their ball. If getting bumped in the head by a ball fake is going to decimate a kid playing defense, then how in the world do you explain all the other no-calls when this has happened, or even the times when the kid who got hit in the head ended up getting the steal???
You're really really reaching here. Did you ever even play the game? It really seems like you haven't. Otherwise you'd understand there's worse things in the game of basketball than "resorting to playing dirty" and accidentally ball faking and hitting a kid in the head by accident...PUHLEAZE.
I'm out. See you at the game. Make sure you call the refs out when they don't call the dirty ole ball fake off the head trick tonight about 10-15 times. If a kid gets punched in the nuts though, make sure to applaud...GEEZ...
